MAD MARCH

March was a busy month for us. Firstly, the first phase of our engine development program was completed by Cartek, we attended the ‘Day of the Volkswagen’ at Glenelg’s Wigley reserve, and finally set about preparing the car for an important test for us at Mallala last weekend.

The day was successful and the car is progressing well in both engine and chassis. We have made a big improvement on where we were at the first round of the State Championships and we are only part way through the set up program Leon has in place for the car.

We ended the day with a PB time for the GAC, but we are probably ½ to ¾ of a second off where I feel we need to be to take it to the NSW boys.

We have another test on the 1st of May, before the second round kicks off on the 2nd and 3rd.

In a nice cross over, I was lucky enough to sign write a Ferrari Formula 1 show car for Bridgestone last week and couldn’t help but take a few photos!
